Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Manuel Lanzini of West Ham.

Mauricio Pochettino believes Lanzini would give Spurs more depth in midfield with his creativity.

Lanzini is under contract at West Ham until 2020 and David Moyes would be reluctant to lose one his key players in January with the club in the middle of a relegation battle.

Lanzini has impressed for the Hammers after joining initially on loan from Al-Jazira of the United Arab Emirates in the summer of 2015.

According to Radio Montecarlo, Real Madrid has opened negotiations with David Luiz about a January transfer.

Luiz would be the primary backup at center back behind Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane, though he is versatile enough to play other positions.

The relationship between Luiz and Antonio Conte has deteriorated this season.

The suggested price would be €30 million though the main issue for Real Madrid is Luiz would not be eligible for the Champions League.

Arsene Wenger has ruled out the possibility of Arsenal selling either Alexis Sanchez or Mesut Ozil in January. Both players can leave on free transfers in the summer.

“I’m not the only one who can decide that. They have a say in that as well,” said Wenger."

Wenger was asked if he could, in fact, rule out a midseason departure. “Yeah, I rule it out. Look, I do not think every day about that. As long as they are here they have to give their best for the team and for the club. In my head, they stay until the end of the season. That’s the decision I took at the start of the season. Unless something unbelievable happens there’s no reason why that should change."

Sanchez was nearly sold to Manchester City in August. Ozil was previously expected to sign an extension with Arsenal but has now been strongly linked with Manchester United.

Wenger insists that no moves will take place until next summer. “In press conference you’re always confronted with many speculations,” he said. “For me, they stay until the end of the season. That’s what I decided at the start of the season. Will they stay longer? That’s impossible to answer today. I don’t know.”

Zinedine Zidane is open to Real Madrid adding to their squad during the January transfer window.

Real Madrid lost some of their depth with the departures of James Rodriguez, Alvaro Morata and Pepe over the summer.

"I am just saying it could happen," Zidane said. "I am very happy with my squad, I don't want it to change, I don't want anyone to leave.

"But in football anything can happen. There are other people [at the club] apart from me when it comes to deciding things, and we can talk.

"When the market opens we will talk, but maybe nothing changes. For sure nobody is going to leave. We know we are able to sign in January, that is all."

Robert Lewandowski hopes to play for either the LA Galaxy or Los Angeles FC in the future.

Lewandowski is under contract with Bayern until 2021 and is 29 years old.

"I think that we will spend some time in the United States," said Lewandowski's wife Anna Lewandowska.

"We dream of Los Angeles, and we would love to develop our brand there."

She added: "We hope that Robert will end his professional career at a Los Angeles-based club. We can already say that this would be our dream.

"Our goal is to build a strong, honest and stable brand under the name 'The Lewandowskis.' We want to create a third brand, and this time together.

"We are aware of our strengths and we know we can not only use it for business but also good things like education and social welfare.

"The time for a Lewandowski brand is now."

Lewandowski has also been linked with a move to Real Madrid.

Juventus will buy Douglas Costa from Bayern Munich this summer for €46 million ($55 million).

Costa joined Juventus on a loan from Bayern this season.

Costa has typically appeared as a substitute this season, scoring one goal with three assists in Serie A.

Lionel Messi has officially signed a contract extension with Barcelona through to the summer of 2021.

The deal was agreed upon in July but several months went by where Messi's status with Barcelona was uncertain. There was increasing speculation that Messi could leave the club with Manchester City the most probable destination.

Messi's deal has a £626 million ($835 million) release clause.

Messi will be turning 34 when this contract expires.

Lionel Messi has continued to avoid questions about his contract with Barcelona. Messi was presented with his fourth Golden Shoe award on Friday.

Marca director Juan Ignacio Gallardo, who introduced the ceremony, confirmed that "it is not the day to talk about [Messi's] contract situation."

Barcelona announced in July that Messi had agreed upon a contract extension but nothing official has been announced.

Messi could begin negotiating with other clubs in January.

Thibaut Courtois and Chelsea have paused contract extension talks until the end of the season. Courtois will be entering the final season of his contract in 18-19.

Courtois is seeking wages closer to the £200,000 a week level that Eden Hazard and David De Gea earn.

Courtois came back to Chelsea from Atletico Madrid in 2014.

Courtois has received interest by Real Madrid and his former girlfriend has returned to Spain with their two children.

“Regarding my contract, that’s something where Chelsea must deal with my agent," said Courtois. "I don’t think there have been any new developments. We have so many games at the moment, and I prefer to focus on the team’s matches, my own performances, and there will be time enough towards the end of the season to have talks.”

Sergi Roberto has no plans to leave Barcelona and hopes to remain with the club for the rest of his career.

Roberto has been linked to Manchester City and Juventus.

"Barca is the club of my life and I want to stay here forever, so it's clear that nobody should worry about my renewal," he told Sport.

"I am at the best club in the world and I was lucky to have moved from the academy to the first team.

"I never stopped working to help the first team and now I am happy to be consolidated, it has not been easy."
